Wild beacon - April's Contest

The Goths built these small shrines near thick forests. When someone gets lost in the forest, they placed offerings (usally berrys) to attract these creatures. Happy with the food, they shone. So if the lost person sees the bright rings, they will know where to go. It's a crime to hurt or disturb the animal, even those living in the city are free. When a blue light appeared instead of the yellow one, it was a sign that the person would be found faster, bringing hope to him/her.
They also bring luck for dangerous night travels, sometimes they follow the travelers.
